(July 13, 2020) LAREDO, Texas - Forbes recently announced the results of its third annual Best-In-State survey in partnership with market research firm Statista. Statista surveyed nearly 25,000 people in the United States about their banking relationships to determine which banks and credit unions have the most satisfied customers. Overall, 182 credit unions and 135 banks qualified for the survey. IBC Bank was ranked fifth-best bank in Texas.

Consumers were asked 20 questions about their financial institutions, including whether they feel that their institution keeps its word, if its website is easy to navigate and whether advisors provide easy-to-understand information. The banks and credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction in five key areas: trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services and financial advice. Across all states, only 136 unique banks and 182 unique credit unions received the award, equaling 2.6% of all banks and 3.5% of all credit unions in the United States.  A complete list of the best banks in each state can be found at Forbes.com/best-in-state-banks.
