IBC Bank-Oklahoma Awards Scholarships to Area Graduates
IBC Bank - Oklahoma honors 16 high school seniors with the A.R. Sanchez, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
(July 24, 2020) OKLAHOMA - IBC Bank-Oklahoma is promoting higher education by awarding a combined $16,000 in scholarships to 16 high school graduates embarking on a new journey of their adult lives.
"Supporting the educational goals of our local students through the A.R. Sanchez Memorial scholarship program is one of the many ways we demonstrate our commitment to doing more for the communities we serve," explained IBC Bank-Oklahoma President and CEO Bill Schonacher. "These deserving high school seniors are the future community leaders of Oklahoma and Texas, and we are honored to assist them in pursuit of their higher education goals."
Born into a humble family, Antonio R. Sanchez, Sr., the namesake of the scholarship award and the founder of IBC Bank, was a strong supporter of making higher education available to those interested in bettering their lives. Sanchez's commitment to the power of learning lives on in the A.R. Sanchez Scholarship, which is bestowed annually upon deserving high school seniors throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
This year, IBC Bank-Oklahoma presented A.R. Sanchez, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Awards, each valued at $1,000 across seven Oklahoma area and Texans Can Academy high schools.

Aligning with IBC Bank's passion for the pursuit of higher education, Texans Can Academies uphold the mission of ensuring students have all the skills and opportunities for a strong, sustainable career path. The schools offer students, aged 14 to 21, a second chance at earning their high school diploma instead of a General Education Development (GED).
